MCP Connector

Connect via MCP

Use Climateshed Intelligence directly inside Claude or ChatGPT via the Model Context Protocol — no copy-pasting, no tab switching. Ask climate questions and get cited answers powered by 290+ authoritative documents and 15 live data feeds.

What you get

query_climate

Ask any California climate policy, regulation, or risk question. Returns cited answers sourced from official documents — no hallucinations, every claim traceable.

get_climate_data

Get structured live climate projections for any location: peak heat, extreme heat days, wildfire risk, flood zones, sea level rise, drought, air quality, and more.

get_jurisdiction_report

Assemble a full Climate Action & Adaptation Plan data package for a California city, county, or unincorporated area: census-tract hazard and vulnerability rollups, decadal climate projections (3 scenarios, 2030s–2090s), the 2019–2024 GHG inventory, jurisdiction boundaries, and relevant policy context. Requires report access — contact us to enable it.

All tools are read-only. No data is written or modified. query_climate counts against your monthly quota; get_climate_data and get_jurisdiction_report do not.

Troubleshooting

The tools aren't appearing in Claude

For claude.ai, make sure you've toggled the integration on in the conversation toolbar (puzzle piece icon). For Claude Desktop, fully quit and reopen after connecting. If tools still don't appear, disconnect and reconnect.

I'm being asked to sign in again

This happens if the server URL changed or your session expired. Complete the sign-in flow once and the connector will resume normally.

A query returned no results

The knowledge base focuses on California climate policy and risk. Questions about other states or highly specific local regulations may return limited results. Try rephrasing with more general terms.

Account & quota

Each query_climate call counts as one query against your Climateshed Intelligence account quota — the same as a web, iOS, or Claude query. get_climate_data does not count against quota. get_jurisdiction_report requires report access to be enabled on your account and does not count against quota.
